Discover enchanting Ravenna, home of some of Italy’s most captivating hidden gems including 8 UNESCO World Heritage sites. This charming seaside port is a haven for art and architecture lovers showcasing Christian mosaics, majestic churches and impressive palaces. Before your cruise, spend a couple of days exploring Ravenna — once the capital of the Western Roman Empire and a thriving hub for craftsmen, artists and master masons. Plus, take advantage of your proximity to visit Venice or Bologna — both less than 2-and-a-half hours by car. Wander through Venice’s iconic St. Mark’s Basilica and ride a gondola beneath the Rialto Bridge or eat your way around Bologna’s Mercato Delle Erbe and catch amazing views from the top of Asinelli Tower. Cruising from Ravenna gives you the opportunity to go off the beaten path and to visit Venice’s famous canals or Bologna’s enchanting streets.
Your ship departs promptly at 5:00 p. m., so plan to arrive at least 2-3 hours early to account for checking in and boarding protocols. During this time, many of the ship's amenities are open and operating, so feel free to start your vacation early.

For a truly unique site, visit the sunken crypt found at the Basilica de San Pietro Maggiore with a submerged mosaic floor and fish.

Keep in mind that you’ll need to have your shoulders and knees covered to enter religious sites in Ravenna.

Catania's warm embrace invites you to relax and immerse yourself in its splendid Mediterranean climate. Take time to enjoy the diverse architecture — see Catania's ancient roots in the Roman Amphitheatre and the Odeon, built mainly from black lava. Explore more recent history in the Baroque structures of the city center: Don't miss the spectacular spires and interior of Catania Cathedral, rebuilt after an earthquake in 1693. When you're tuckered out from sightseeing, head to one of the idyllic piazzas to take in the lively city's exuberance.

Day 4 jue, 29 oct 2026 Naples/Capri, Italy Docked from 7:00 a. m. - 7:00 p. m.

The third-largest Italian city and one of the oldest in Europe, Naples combines deep history and modern verve. Check out the extravagant Royal Palace of Naples, the former home of the royal family, with its beautiful tapestries and frescoes. People-watch from a streetside cafe in the Sanita district with a glass of wine and slice of classic margherita pizza.

You won't be able to visit the Catacombs of San Gennaro without a guided tour, so be sure to book yours well in advanced.

Wear comfortable shoes; you'll be doing a lot of walking over cobblestones while in the city.

Experience la dolce vita in The Eternal City— recalling the glory days of Ancient Rome and twirling forks full of pasta in a trattoria. Stand in awe of paintings by Italian masters at Villa Borghese. Soak up Trastevere’s backstreet charms. Discover Vatican City’s spiritual legacy. Or ride past centuries-old basilicas in a three-wheeled Ape Calessino.

The train ride between Civitavecchia and Rome is approximately 80 minutes each way.

Conservative attire (no tank tops or shorts) is required when visiting Rome’s religious sites.

Day 6 sáb, 31 oct 2026 Ajaccio, Corsica Docked from 8:00 a. m. - 5:00 p. m.

Head to the Place Foch in the old town center to get a feel for the true Ajaccio. A statue of Napoleon stands in the center, surrounded by local cafes and restaurants that offer typical Corsican dishes like veau aux olives (veal with olives) or agneau corse (Corsican lamb). Top off your evening by sipping a chestnut liquor while watching the sunset on the dock.

Take the charming Little Train to explore Ajaccio and the surrounding area. You'll get guided historic tour in the old town and a visit to view the stunning Iles Sanguinaires.

Stroll over to visit the Citadelle. Although off-limits to the public, you can continue walking and enjoy the views from the lovely promenade along the beach.

Day 7 dom, 1 nov 2026 Provence (Marseille), France Docked from 7:00 a. m. - 4:00 p. m.

Start your Marseille adventure at the port, where fishing boats and yachts bob close to one another and the fish market Quai des Belges still sells the day's catch. Then hop on the tourist train at Quai du Port for the steep climb to the neo-Byzantine Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde. Check out MuCEM museum to trace the first footprints of Mediterranean history, then relax beside the crescent-shaped colonnade and fountain at Palais Longchamp.

To the north-west you'll find L'Estaque, one of the fishing villages that inspired many of France's greatest artists in the late 19th century, including Cezanne and Monticelli.

Musee des Docks Romains, which covers the site of one of the world's few known Roman warehouses, is where you'll find dolia, huge ceramic jugs that can store up to two thousand liters of olive oil or wine.

If you've read "The Count of Monte Cristo," the name Chateau d'If might ring a bell. Visit this 16th-century castle to learn about the realities of prison life at the time of Dumas's novel. You can even take a boat here directly from the port.

Day 8 lun, 2 nov 2026 Barcelona, Spain Arrives at 5:00 a. m.

Afternoons in Barcelona are best spent eating Spanish tapas in a cozy bar. Then take a Gaudí-inspired architecture crawl to see modernist wonders like Casa Milà, Casa Batlló, Park Güell and the awe-inspiring La Sagrada Família. Explore medieval dockyards at the Maritime Museum— or throw on an apron and learn the centuries-old art of Catalan cuisine in a chef-led cooking class.
The cruise might have ended, but there are still some great activities to enjoy in the area. If you flew into this port, be mindful of your departure flight time and plan accordingly.
