A National Treasure

Jostedalsbreen National Park is a scenic two-hour drive away and passes by Nordfjord, the historic town of Stryn. It's home to the largest continental glacier in Europe and is one of Norway's largest wilderness areas. Lighthouse Mania

There are four lighthouses on Vagsoy, three of which are still functional. Despite being set high above the ocean, Kråkenes Lighthouse weathers spray from the gigantic waves below in extreme conditions. Ulvesund Lighthouse is where you'll see the most sea traffic and Skongnes Lighthouse requires a two-hour hike. Hendanes Lighthouse is abandoned and difficult to reach.

Maloy is a surprisingly delightful foodie heaven with plenty of fresh seafood and artisanal eats. Mussels and a variety of fish dishes really do take the (proverbial) cake here. Head to Kraftstasjonen Restaurant for some delicious fish and chips or fish soup, or head to La Voile for a large selection of sushi.
