The best way to start a meal at Sichuan Red® is with an order of the chef-recommended Royal Sea Cucumber, impeccably plated alongside broccoli and tangy spring onions. Then share some Chinese lettuce leaves, tightly wrapped around asparagus and pepper rings and served with a flavourful sesame paste dipping sauce. If you’re craving something hot and savoury, try a bowl of Mao-Pu tofu simmered in a traditional spicy sauce, or some authentic pickled radish and duck soup, served piping hot and bursting with flavour. One of the most popular dishes on the menu, however, is the Kao Yu simmer pot, which spotlights deep-fried fish served on a bed of tofu, vegetables and potatoes in a spicy aromatic broth. And for dessert, opt for crispy fried balls stuffed with crushed black sesame, or cold jelly with small sweet dumplings in fermented glutinous rice.
