Cruise Overview

LAX XID SAP HKD YOK 1200x430

Set sail for a once-in-a-lifetime experience and venture across the ocean on a Transpacific cruise. Your 15-night adventure begins in Los Angeles, California, an exciting city that’s worth exploring a few days before your cruise starts. Once on Ovation of the Seas, you’ll visit incredible destinations as you journey across the ocean to Tokyo (Yokohama), Japan.

Day 1 ter., 23 de set. de 2025 Los Angeles, California Departs at 5:00 pm

Known as the City of Angels, Los Angeles could more accurately be dubbed the City of Endless Adventures. This West Coast capital has something for every kind of traveler — interesting history, a mind-blowing food scene, beautiful landscapes, and a unique mix of glitz, glamour and metropolitan grit. You’ll find it all here — sprawling mansions in star-studded neighborhoods like Beverly Hills, Bel-Air and Calabasas, hanging red lanterns and sculpted dragons in Chinatown, traditional Mexican shopping stalls selling handmade crafts along Olvera Street — the list goes on and on. If you’re a film buff, wander down Sunset Boulevard and keep your eyes on the ground — the sidewalk is covered in stars dedicated to famous actors, actresses and celebrities. Head to the Santa Monica Pier for a sun-soaked beach day and a ride on the world’s only solar-powered Ferris wheel. Even if you only have a single day to spare ahead of your cruise from Los Angeles, it’s worth setting aside some time to get to know the best of LA.
Your ship departs promptly at 5:00 pm, so plan to arrive at least 2-3 hours early to account for checking in and boarding protocols. During this time, many of the ship's amenities are open and operating, so feel free to start your vacation early.

Days 2-12 qua., 24 de set. de 2025 - sáb., 4 de out. de 2025 11 Days at Sea Ovation of the Seas

On Day 7 of your cruise, you will become one of the few to cross the International Date Line (IDL). As you cross, time will jump ahead 24 hours if you are traveling west, and back 24 hours if you’re heading east.

Travel Tips
1
Tipping is not customary in Japan, but look out for the blanket sales tax. You may be able to find tax-free sales promotions in some small stores.

Day 15 ter., 7 de out. de 2025 Hakodate, Japan Docked from 6:30 am - 5:00 pm

Opened as one of Japan's first international ports in 1859, Hakodate has a fascinating commercial and military legacy. Experience it by exploring the Goryokaku, a unique and verdant star-shaped fortress from the short-lived Republic of Ezo. Then, check out the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse, a series of atmospheric bay side godowns (a style of Asian warehouse) revived as a shopping and dining spot.
Travel Tips
1
There's no tipping in Japan, but you'll face an 8 percent sales tax everywhere except major retailers, which often have tax-fee shopping campaigns.
2
Attractions in Hakodate can be crowded with travelers and school tours, so arrive as early as possible to avoid congestion.
3
If you're planning to head atop Mount Hakodate, pack a jacket even in warmer weather — it can get windy at the summit.

Day 17 qui., 9 de out. de 2025 Tokyo (Yokohama), Japan Arrives at 6:30 am

Yokohama is the central gateway to exploring Tokyo, a once-humble fishing village that is now one of the world's biggest, most densely populated cities. You'll find an eclectic mix of traditional shrines and soaring skyscrapers lining these neon-lit streets. Walk the Rainbow Bridge over Tokyo Bay alongside the Yurikamome Rail Line, a futuristic, operatorless train system. Then, see old Tokyo at the Imperial Palace, an Edo Castle surrounded by moats and gardens perfect for strolling. Cruise to Tokyo and head to iconic Sensoji Buddhist Temple and pass below the massive red paper lantern of the Thunder Gate. Then, unwind in Yoyogi Park, a literal forest in the heart of the city, complete with Zen gardens and a gingko tree forest.
The cruise might have ended, but there are still some great activities to enjoy in the area. If you flew into this port, be mindful of your departure flight time and plan accordingly.
