The day begins with the scenic rail journey riding the the glass-domed cars of the Wilderness Express to Talkeetna, the funkiest small town in Alaska. From 11:00 a.m., the day is free for your style of adventure. Talk to your Adventure Specialist about personalized outdoor options such as zip-lining and flightseeing. Close to your lodge, Talkeetna’s historic main street is home to lively brew pubs, roadhouse restaurants, cozy cafes and unique shops. Overnight at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.

There’s time to enjoy more of the Talkeetna’s stunning natural setting before your deluxe motor coach departs for Denali. From 4:00 p.m., Denali is yours to discover. Walk the trails of your lodge’s 20-acre property, or choose an optional activity, like visiting the Husky Homestead or river rafting. Overnight at Denali Park Village.

Venture deep in the park today, scouting for native wildlife on the Denali Natural History Tour. After the tour, your time is your own. Check out the exhibits at the museum-like visitor center, or stroll the nearby walking trails. Overnight at Denali Park Village.

Get a taste of the big city during a midday stop in downtown before continuing onto Alyeska. Admire the waters of the Turnagain Arm as you enter the Chugach Valley on your way to Hotel Alyeska. Take a spectacular ride on the Alyeska tramway for breathtaking views, while soaring 2,300 feet above the ground. From 4:00 p.m., this scenic resort area is yours to enjoy. Take a stroll along the forest trail, or indulge in the resort’s amenities. Overnight at Hotel Alyeska.

Admire the glacier-formed landscapes on the drive to Seward where you’ll discover the state’s rich variety of marine species at the Alaska Sealife Center. Your Adventure Specialist wishes you a bon voyage at the pier where you’ll board your ship.

Sandwiched between towering Mount Marathon and glistening Resurrection Bay, the small town of Seward is surrounded by breathtaking scenery and action-packed adventure. Downtown’s Main Street houses a cluster of historic buildings decked out in colorful murals— and its Kenai Peninsula backyard serves as a spectacular outdoor playground. Hit the water for kayaking to tidewater caves, or go flightseeing over bright-blue Exit Glacier. You can hike Caines Head Trail’s pebbled beaches and mountain bike Lost Lake Trail’s alpine valleys. In Seward you’ll discover authentic native cultures, thrilling sport fishing, expansive icefields and all-out adventure— no matter which direction you turn.
Your ship departs promptly at 8:00 pm, so plan to arrive at least 2-3 hours early to account for checking in and boarding protocols. During this time, many of the ship's amenities are open and operating, so feel free to start your vacation early.
Day 7 Sat, Jul 19, 2025 Hubbard Glacier, Alaska Sightseeing from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
At 76 miles long and seven miles wide, North America’s largest tidewater glacier makes even the largest ships in the region feel small. Watch massive chunks of Hubbard Glacier’s translucent blue ice crash into the bay with a bang like a cannon shot, a sound the Tlingit people call “White Thunder.”

Juneau is the largest U.S. state capital— and one of the hardest to get to. Flanked by mountains, tundra and rainforests, it’s basically inaccessible except by air or sea. Once you arrive you’ll find adventure in every corner. Go dogsledding over Mendenhall Glacier, or prospecting along centuries-old mining trails. In Juneau, the thrills are as endless as the surrounding wilderness.

Once the starting point for gold stampeders heading for the promised land of the Yukon, Skagway symbolizes the spirit of Alaska. And now — it’s your turn to hunt for bold. Embark on the trail of the fortune seekers on a vintage train ride with dramatic, sweeping views at every turn. Trek through the dense rainforest and windswept valleys of Chilkoot Trail and follow in the footsteps of Klondike pioneers. Or stroll the charming downtown streets studded with historical buildings. Whatever you get up to in Skagway, it’ll be a day you’ll never forget.

If you want to hang in Icy Strait Point, you’re going to have to get a little wild. Go whale watching in Point Adolphus and sea lion spotting . Or gear up to go soaring over mountain forests on the world’s longest zip line. Life here is all about the thrill factor.

Dubbed the canned salmon capital of the world, Ketchikan is rich in both fishing and culture. You’ll find more totem poles here than anywhere else in the world, and a Native spirit kept alive by three tribes of Northwest Coastal People. For some outdoor thrills, venture into the surrounding Tongass National Forest— the largest in the United States.

Your ship offers the perfect platform for viewing British Columbia’s Inside Passage. This archipelago spans 25,000 miles from Seattle to Prince Rupert near the Alaskan border. Here you’ll ply calm waters sheltered between the British Columbia mainland and Vancouver Island. Along the way catch a glimpse of breathtakingly rugged scenery, plus staggering wildlife like salmon sharks, white spirit bears, and millions of seabirds.

Kick off the afternoon lunching on xiaolongbao buns in Chinatown. Then explore the city’s cultural offerings at the Bill Reid Gallery or Vancouver Art Gallery. Get into some active adventure, whether it’s water-biking False Creek or mountain-biking the North Shore. Evenings are best spent dining and drinking in Yaletown’s hip warehouse district.
The cruise might have ended, but there are still some great activities to enjoy in the area. If you flew into this port, be mindful of your departure flight time and plan accordingly.
