Day 1 Fri, May 1, 2026 Tokyo (Yokohama), Japan Departs at 7:00 pm

Yokohama is the central gateway to exploring Tokyo, a once-humble fishing village that is now one of the world's biggest, most densely populated cities. You'll find an eclectic mix of traditional shrines and soaring skyscrapers lining these neon-lit streets. Walk the Rainbow Bridge over Tokyo Bay alongside the Yurikamome Rail Line, a futuristic, operatorless train system. Then, see old Tokyo at the Imperial Palace, an Edo Castle surrounded by moats and gardens perfect for strolling. Cruise to Tokyo and head to iconic Sensoji Buddhist Temple and pass below the massive red paper lantern of the Thunder Gate. Then, unwind in Yoyogi Park, a literal forest in the heart of the city, complete with Zen gardens and a gingko tree forest.
Your ship departs promptly at 7:00 pm, so plan to arrive at least 2-3 hours early to account for checking in and boarding protocols. During this time, many of the ship's amenities are open and operating, so feel free to start your vacation early.

Day 3 Sun, May 3, 2026 Hakodate, Japan Docked from 8:00 am - 7:00 pm

Opened as one of Japan's first international ports in 1859, Hakodate has a fascinating commercial and military legacy. Experience it by exploring the Goryokaku, a unique and verdant star-shaped fortress from the short-lived Republic of Ezo. Then, check out the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse, a series of atmospheric bay side godowns (a style of Asian warehouse) revived as a shopping and dining spot.
Travel Tips
1
There's no tipping in Japan, but you'll face an 8 percent sales tax everywhere except major retailers, which often have tax-fee shopping campaigns.
2
Attractions in Hakodate can be crowded with travelers and school tours, so arrive as early as possible to avoid congestion.
3
If you're planning to head atop Mount Hakodate, pack a jacket even in warmer weather — it can get windy at the summit.

Day 4 Mon, May 4, 2026 Aomori, Japan Docked from 8:00 am - 7:00 pm

In Aomori's bay area, you'll find architectural marvels along with endless shopping opportunities. If you're not attending the Aomori Nebuta Matsuri festival in August, head over to the Nebuta Museum, where you can learn about the history of this event. Or catch a performance by local haneto dancers. You may also decide to explore the unspoiled wilderness that Aomori has to offer.
Travel Tips
1
On the first floor of the ASPAM shopping mall, you'll find the Aomori Station Tourist Information Center.
2
Bargaining is not a common practice in Japan.
3
Bring the appropriate shoes and clothing if you're visiting during the winter; Aomori is known for its heavy snowfall.

Day 5 Tue, May 5, 2026 Sapporo (Muroran), Japan Docked from 7:00 am - 9:00 pm

You can easily get to Sapporo, the city that 1.9 million people call home, from the port of Muroran by train in less than two hours. Whether you walk among the blooming cherry blossoms of Asahiyama Park or catch views of the massive Mt. Teine that hosted Asia's first Winter Olympic Games, you'll never be too far from nature in Sapporo.
Travel Tips
1
Tipping is not customary in Japan, but look out for the blanket sales tax. You may be able to find tax-free sales promotions in some small stores.
