Dive headfirst into adventure on a 9-night cruise to Europe. Depart from Barcelona, Spanien on Explorer of the Seas on your epic journey through unforgettable landscapes and world-renowned cities. Gaze in awe and wonder at wow-worthy architecture and natural beauty as you travel throughout the region.

Day 1 Do., 7. Mai 2026 Barcelona, Spanien Departs at 5:00 pm

A cruise from Barcelona is one of the best ways to experience all the brightest jewels of the Mediterranean — but it’s also a great opportunity to spend some time discovering one of the coolest cultural hubs in western Europe. This lively seaside city checks all the boxes — history, culture, amazing food, a thriving art scene and so much more. When you visit Barcelona, you can start every day with a steamy cortado in a charming sidewalk café. After that, the options for adventure are endless. Swim with sharks at Aquarium de Barcelona, one of the largest aquariums in Europe. Check out ancient Roman relics at the Barcelona City History Museum, located in the vibrant Gothic Quarter. Make a reservation to see a sultry flamenco show. And when hunger hits, head to Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria, a pilgrimage site for foodies. It was a covered market back in the 1200s. Now it’s one of the top food markets in the world and a must-visit stop before your cruise out of Barcelona.
Your ship departs promptly at 5:00 pm, so plan to arrive at least 2-3 hours early to account for checking in and boarding protocols. During this time, many of the ship's amenities are open and operating, so feel free to start your vacation early.

Day 3 Sa., 9. Mai 2026 Nice (Villefranche), France Tendered from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

Make your way from Villefranche-sur-Mer into Nice's Vieille Ville (Old City), and acquaint yourself with the culinary, cultural and historical tapestry of France's Cote d'Azur region. Alternatively, head eastward toward the mountaintop town of Eze, where you can enjoy a 360-degree panorama of the glittering French Riviera.
Travel Tips
1
While Nice is politically part of France, it has a long and proud Italian history as well. Don't be surprised if you hear Italian being spoken — and don't by shy to practice yours!
2
Many of Nice's city beaches are rocky. Consider laying out on a couple thick towels, instead of your usual beach blanket.

Day 4 So., 10. Mai 2026 Florenz/Pisa (La Spezia), Italien Docked from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

While traveling to Florence or Pisa, enjoy a scenic drive through the celebrated Tuscan countryside with its rolling hills, olive and cypress trees and medieval villages. After climbing Pisa's Leaning Tower, explore the atmospheric white, rose and red piazzas (squares). In Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance, you can marvel at the paintings in the Uffizi Gallery and cross the famous Ponte Vecchio bridge, packed with local boutiques to poke your head into.
Travel Tips
1
You can skip the lines at many of Florence's museums by buying tickets online before your visit.
2
Always carry euros. Some restaurants and shops operate on a cash-only basis.

Day 5 Mo., 11. Mai 2026 Rom (Civitavecchia), Italien Docked from 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

Experience la dolce vita in The Eternal City— recalling the glory days of Ancient Rome and twirling forks full of pasta in a trattoria. Stand in awe of paintings by Italian masters at Villa Borghese. Soak up Trastevere’s backstreet charms. Discover Vatican City’s spiritual legacy. Or ride past centuries-old basilicas in a three-wheeled Ape Calessino.

Day 7 Mi., 13. Mai 2026 Kotor, Montenegro Tendered from 8:00 am - 7:00 pm

Discover all Kotor has to offer. Explore the monuments and museums inside the city's picturesque Old Town, where you can also enjoy a fresh seafood lunch — try riblja corba, the local fish soup. Or enjoy a breathtaking panorama of Kotor, either from the fortifications that rise above it or across the bay in Prcanj.
Travel Tips
1
The stone paths of Kotor's Old Town are well-worn — and slick. If you're wearing flip-flops, walk slowly and firmly so that you don't fall.
2
Head to the side streets off the main square for more local, less tourist-driven spots to eat and shop.<

Day 8 Do., 14. Mai 2026 Dubrovnik, Kroatien Docked from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm

Thick 16th-century stone walls encase the entire Old Town of Dubrovnik. But you’ll find boundless adventures among its orange-roofed ramparts. Explore the perfectly preserved Rector’s Palace and enter beloved St. Blaise’s Church. Browse Croatian art and history museums— or kayak crystal blue waters, with the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ shimmering in the distance.
Travel Tips
1
Watch your step: Streets in Old Town can be quite slippery from centuries of wear.
2
The Dubrovnik Card gives you access to the city’s best museums and the public bus system.

Day 9 Fr., 15. Mai 2026 Zadar, Kroatien Docked from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Zadar is one of Croatia’s best-kept secrets. See its timeworn history among old city walls and Venetian gates. Walk along the waterfront Riva promenade or plunge into turquoise waters off Ugljan Island. Mingle over coffee in People’s Square, bicycle around Old Town, or check out museum exhibits teeming with artifacts. Here, you’ll adventure away from the crowds and discover off-the-radar wonders.
Travel Tips
1
Old Town is closed to car traffic and is best explored on foot.
2
A 10% tip for outstanding service is typical in most local restaurants.

Day 10 Sa., 16. Mai 2026 Ravenna (Venedig), Italien Arrives at 6:00 am

Discover enchanting Ravenna — once the capital of the Western Roman Empire and a thriving hub for craftsmen, artists and master masons. This charming seaside port is a haven for lovers of art and architecture boasting a staggering 8 UNESCO World Heritage sites. Which makes it an excellent place to spend a couple of days exploring after your cruise. Wander through majestic churches and impressive palaces that showcase some of the world’s finest Christian mosaics. Plus, take advantage of your proximity to Venice and Bologna — both less than 2-and-a-half hours by car. Stroll through the iconic St. Mark’s Square and ride a gondola beneath the Rialto Bridge in Venice. Or eat your way around the Mercato Delle Erbe and catch amazing views from the top of Asinelli Tower in Bologna. Visiting Ravenna gives you the opportunity to go off the beaten path and to visit Venice’s famous canals or Bologna’s enchanting streets.
The cruise might have ended, but there are still some great activities to enjoy in the area. If you flew into this port, be mindful of your departure flight time and plan accordingly.
Travel Tips
1
For a truly unique site, visit the sunken crypt found at the Basilica de San Pietro Maggiore with a submerged mosaic floor and fish.
2
Keep in mind that you’ll need to have your shoulders and knees covered to enter religious sites in Ravenna.
3
The Basilica of Sant’Apollinare opens daily in the morning, except for Sundays and religious holidays when doors open in the afternoon.
