Cruise Overview

MIA PCC FMT GCM CZM MIA 1200x430

Spend 7 nights of adventure during your cruise on Independence of the Seas. It all begins when you sail from Miami, Florida and the Royal Caribbean award-winning private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay. Max out memories during your unforgettable vacation.

Day 1 Sun, 18 Jan 2026 Miami, Florida Departs at 4:00 pm

As far as vacation destinations go, Miami tops most sun-seekers’ lists. With its gorgeous beaches, vibrant neighborhoods and melting pot of cultures, the Magic City is the perfect place to spend a few days before your Caribbean island hop. Ahead of your cruise from Miami, jump-start your morning in true Miami style with a Cuban cafecito from a ventanita — a streetside shop window. Then climb the historic lighthouse at Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park on quiet Key Biscayne before lounging on the island’s secluded sandy shores. If you’re looking for a bit more action, head to South Beach — home to world-class restaurants, nightlife, shopping and lively beaches, all set against snap-worthy Art Deco buildings. Art lovers who visit Miami can head to Wynwood and explore the neighborhood’s colorful street murals and local galleries. Or take a trip back in time at the Renaissance-style Vizcaya estate, which offers a glimpse into Miami’s dazzling past.
Your ship departs promptly at 4:00 pm, so plan to arrive at least 2-3 hours early to account for checking in and boarding protocols. During this time, many of the ship's amenities are open and operating, so feel free to start your vacation early.

Day 2 Mon, 19 Jan 2026 Perfect Day at CocoCay, Bahamas Docked from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm

A Royal Caribbean Exclusive
This isn’t vacation days spent. This is bragging rights earned. Conquer the tallest waterslide in the Caribbean and snap a shot from up to 450 feet up in a helium balloon. Grab a drink at the swim-up bar and soak up the scene in the largest freshwater pool in The Bahamas. Or get a taste of Bora Bora with your own Overwater Cabana.
Perfect Day at CocoCay is split into 10 unique neighborhoods, each with its own activities. There are plenty of free things to do around the island, as well as premium experiences available for purchase. Seven of the neighborhoods are free admission, and three require a paid admission: Thrill Waterpark, Coco Beach Club, and Hideaway Beach (adults-only beach).
Bonus Perk
If you purchase beverage and Wi-Fi packages, these extend to the entire Perfect Day at CocoCay experience.

Day 4 Wed, 21 Jan 2026 Falmouth, Jamaica Docked from 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

From reggae bands to secluded waterfalls, Falmouth is positively “irie” (pleasing). Head to Chukkah Beach for a shoreside horseback ride, or get your culture fix during high tea at Good Hope Estate. And no trip is complete without jerk chicken and rum cake.
Travel Tips
1
Falmouth is the gateway to Jamaica’s top attractions, but if you want to explore outside port, try a guided tour.
2
Look for taxis with JTB decals, as they’re the only ones authorized by the Jamaica Tourist Board.

Day 5 Thu, 22 Jan 2026 George Town, Grand Cayman Tendered from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

Grand Cayman strikes the perfect balance between glitzy glamor and easygoing island life. You can hit the famous Seven Mile Beach and just chill, Cayman Mama in hand. Swim with stingrays on a snorkeling safari. Or treat yourself to a little retail therapy at some of the best designer shops in the world.
Travel Tips
1
Everyone drives on the left here, so look both ways before crossing the street.

Day 6 Fri, 23 Jan 2026 Cozumel, Mexico Docked from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm

Cozumel blends Mexican culture with Caribbean vibes. You can explore its Maya roots in Tulum, or discover a secret world of sea life as you snorkel beneath the waves in Chankanaab. And there’s no better way to close out a day of adventure than with an ice cold michelada and a beachside massage at Playa Mia.
Travel Tips
1
Remember to tip between 10% and 15%.
2
If you’re planning on taking a snorkeling excursion, make sure to bring organic sunscreen— it’s a federal regulation.
3
Most of the vendors only barter with cash, so be sure to bring some.

Head west of the city for a bike ride past alligators on the Everglades’ Shark Valley route. Take the kids to the Miami Children’s Museum, or paddle a kayak through Biscayne Bay. Come evening, indulge in haute cuisine at a swanky beachside restaurant— all before cocktails and dancing amid The Magic City’s trendy nightlife scene.
