One of the best things to do in Cartagena is to stroll through the heart of the historical sector and catch scenic views from the Plaza de Bolivar. Or explore the underground passages of Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas. If you’re a beach lover, head to Playa Blanca and enjoy delicious local dishes like fresh fish, coconut rice and arepa de huevo. And remember, a vacation from Cartagena is not complete without dancing to the tropical rhythms of cumbia. Before you cruise, hop on a multicolored chiva (party bus) or mingle with locals at upbeat bars around the city.
Your ship departs promptly at 6:00 pm, so plan to arrive at least 2-3 hours early to account for checking in and boarding protocols. During this time, many of the ship's amenities are open and operating, so feel free to start your vacation early.
