My Experience at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade: Guest Blog by Kristin Chenoweth

Entry by Kristin Chenoweth

Kristin Chenoweth is a Broadway, film, and television actress who has won both an Emmy and a Tony award. She’s also added godmother of Quantum of the Seas, our newest and most advanced ship, to her stellar resume.

When I was first asked to be godmother of Quantum of the Seas, I was flattered, but I didn’t quite know what would be involved. After learning all about the ship and the amazing offerings onboard, I couldn’t be happier to be involved with a company that’s so dedicated to world-class celebrations and entertainment.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is just one instance of the creative, innovative entertainment Royal Caribbean invests in. The Parade is such a special tradition, and I’m so lucky to have been a part of it.

Royal Caribbean even invited two lucky fans to watch the Parade in New York. They had such an amazing, front-row perspective on the Parade. Check out their highlights:

But the Parade was just the start of the celebration. To be on a world-class ship with your family and experience the best of musical theater is an experience only Royal Caribbean can provide. I’ve truly been impressed with Royal Caribbean’s Broadway at Sea program – and believe me, I have seen the best of the best!

In the meantime, stay tuned for more Quantum of the Seas updates from me and my Royal Caribbean family.

Love from,

Kristin Chenoweth

Wanted to see the parade and float so bad. My husband and family hosted a free community Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving day. Along with the help from several fantastic volunteers, we served nearly 300 people from our small community in Southeast Ohio. Although we missed the parade we took home tired bodies, good memories, new friendships and a wonderful feeling inside.

while working the macy’s day parade (police officer) freezing my buns off I saw the Royal Caribbean float and texted my wife that we need to go to some where warm. We booked a cruise yesterday !

I have cruised with Royal Caribbean several times, my first cruise was in 1996 on the Soverign of the Seas, and that is when I fell in love with cruising, I don’t know how many cruises I have been, would have to go to C&A to check, but I am a diamond plus member. Just got off the Brillance in November and it was wonderful, and if any one reads this tell Tony, head waiter I said hello and I did tell CC about how wonderful the Brillance is. Tony was one of the best head waiters I have ever seen.
I love Royal Caribbean, now trying to,decide where to cruise to next.

We are so excited to see The Quantum of the Seas. We hope to experience this inaugural sailing. We are a military family and we are thankful that you support our troops. The Macy’s parade is truly a beautiful one!

I was excited to see Kristin and Royal Caribbean as apart of the Macy’s parade! However, I am especially excited to be on the inaugural cruise of Quantum of the Seas! This will be my second inaugural cruise with RCCL. I was also on the Inaugural of Majesty of the Seas back in 1992. There is always something special about sailing on the first voyage but, especially with RCCL because in my opinion they set the standard in crusing!

Is John Layzell still at the helm! What a guy, he called me twice to personally thank me for my review of my most recent cruise.. I have cruised on so many ships and worked one with my home port as Greece, RCL is the tops! I want those ports with Quantum of the Seas and a balcony room in Feb! Hurry up and get it on the water! Thanks!

Love RCCL. Kristin makes an amazing Godmother! She is talented like those you fire. She is beautiful like your decor. She is fun, and that is what an RCCL cruise is all about. Most of all Kristin is loved by all ages and that is what age group loves RCCL! Living in Florida I am anxious for Quantium of the Seas to come to her home. Would love to sail this amazing ship!
