The Oasis Class is one of the most famous families of ships within the Royal Caribbean fleet, and it’s hardly surprising why. Every single cruise ship in the bunch offers record-setting attractions, bold experiences, crave-worthy dining and live performances that will keep you at the edge of your seat — all at no additional cost.

Those chasing thrills will find no shortage of free things to do that are sure to satisfy their adrenaline rush — like the ship’s deck-defying Zip Line, the towering Ultimate AbyssSM, The Perfect StormSM water slides and the FlowRider® surf simulator — a Royal Caribbean classic. And those are just some of the many included onboard activities guests get to take advantage of.

Foodies will also find plenty of incredible, complimentary flavors to satisfy their cravings with, from quick and casual finger foods at Mini Bites and gourmet franks at Dog House to global fare from every corner of the world at Windjammer and Main Dining Room. Not to mention Sorrento’s Pizza, a fan-favorite for years that’s perfected the art of crafting the ultimate pizza pie.

And of course, guests who sail onboard Harmony of the Seas can look forward to a full lineup of electrifying entertainment and experiences after dark, including live music at the Boot and Bonnet pub, stunt-filled spectaculars on the ice-skating rink, encore-worthy original productions inspired by Broadway’s biggest hits and dazzling showcases at the AquaTheater that blend head-spinning high dives with cutting-edge lighting, sounds and synchronized swimming. The best part? It’s all complimentary.

Here are some of the top free things to do onboard Harmony of the Seas.

1. Conquer The Perfect Storm Trio Of Water Slides

The pool deck of any Royal Caribbean ship is always a great spot to spend any sea day during your cruise getaway — especially if you’ve booked a sailing onboard Harmony of the Seas. This Oasis Class favorite is home to a Royal Caribbean hallmark — The Perfect Storm. On this ship, it’s composed of three far-out water slides. First there are the dual racers, TyphoonSM and CycloneSM. Either is perfect for racing a friend, family member or total stranger in a true test of nerves and speed. Then there’s Supercell℠, a giant champagne bowl that whirls riders around and around several times before funneling them out to the main pool down below. Anyone who meets the 48-inch height requirement can ride any of The Perfect Storm water slides, and as often as they like — this exhilarating trio is one of the top free things to do onboard the ship.

2. Take The Plunge Down The Ultimate Abyss

If you’re still craving thrills after taking on The Perfect Storm, you’ll find one more slide onboard to pit your wits against — the Ultimate Abyss. Towering a record nine decks high, it’s the tallest slide at sea, and definitely one of the most exciting experiences onboard Harmony of the Seas. Unlike The Perfect Storm, it’s a dry matt racer slide and the height requirement to ride is just 44 inches. But in true Royal Caribbean style, it’s totally free for anybody sailing onboard the ship. Ride as often as you like by day or by night, when the mouth of the slides is illuminated by neon lights.

3. Subdue The Perfect Swell On The Flowrider Surf Simulator

Another classic — and complimentary — attraction onboard Harmony of the Seas is also a rite of passage for anyone cruising with Royal Caribbean. It’s called the FlowRider, and it’s a state-of-the-art surf simulator that funnels 30,000 gallons of rushing water to create ideal swells all day. Anybody can grab a board, get in line and try their skills at staying upright. Carve on your feet or get you bearings on your belly, boogie style. Admission to the FlowRider is included in your cruise fare, at no additional cost to guests — though you can book private sessions with an instructor starting at $69 if you really want to learn to shred like a pro.

4. Soar Across The Boardwalk Via Zip Line

One of the coolest ways to literally feel the wind in your hair is to take a ride on the cruise ship’s zip line. It stretches ten decks above the bustling Boardwalk neighborhood and offers endless opportunities to chase your adrenaline rush. Kids and adults can both feel the rush for free as many times as they like throughout their sailings. Here’s a pro tip: for a truly wow-worthy shot, have someone stand at the opposite end of the zip line and record or photograph your journey across.

5. Refuel With Gourmet Artisan Dogs At Dog House

In between free onboard activities, replenish your energy with delicious artisan hot dogs at Dog House. Located along the cruise ship’s Boardwalk, this casual, grab-and-go shop serves up five-star brats inspired by culinary capitals. There’s the Coney Island dog, crafted using classic American beef. The Big Apple, a chicken and apple sausage that offers a subtle burst of sweetness. The Smoke House, a pork sausage seasoned with traditional spices. And a German thuringer made the traditional European way. Load your dog up with your favorite toppings, including ketchup, mustard, minced onions and relish, and come back for seconds if you work up an appetite again — every bite at Dog House is free.

6. Savor Some Grab-And-Go Goodness At Mini Bites

Another fuss-free eatery serving up complimentary goodness is Mini Bites. The snacks here are small, but they go big on bold flavors. A hit among parents with picky eaters, Mini Bites offers plenty of delicious finger foods at no additional cost — like cheesy pizza, crispy taquitos, tender sliders, traditional grilled cheese, bite-sized cupcakes and more. It’s conveniently located just steps from the pool and the Sports Court, so you can refuel in between fun onboard activities.

7. Enjoy Some Adult Time At The Solarium

While the little ones are at play, grab a comfy chair or lounger in the Solarium, a peaceful adults-only hideaway onboard Harmony of the Seas. You’ll find plenty of room to unwind in the shade or in the sunshine, as well as soothing whirlpools and endless views of the ocean that surrounds you. This is the perfect spot to get lost in a good book, destress while listening to your favorite tunes or simply work on your tan lines. There’s a bar nearby, too, placing all your favorite vacation libations within easy reach. Admission to the Solarium is free for cruise guests aged 18 and older — feel free to linger as long as you like throughout your getaway.

8. Catch A Live Show At The Boot And Bonnet Pub

Every ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet has an English pub. Onboard Harmony of the Seas, that pub is called the Boot and Bonnet — and it’s your go-to for ice-cold pints and great live performances. Find a full schedule of musicians in your Cruise Planner and swing by for some great guitar, saxophone, singing duets and more by the cruise line’s talented lineup of guest performers. Admission is free, and if you have a specialty drink package, all your favorite libations are included, too.

9. Elevate Mealtime In The Main Dining Room

When you sail with Royal Caribbean, every meal is sure to impress — and the complimentary dining options are just as crave-worthy as the specialty restaurants onboard every cruise ship. One fleetwide favorite is the Main Dining Room, an upscale, multi-level venue that takes diners on an unforgettable flavor fest from Paris to Phuket, and Buenos Aires to Berlin. Perfect for family and group dinners as well as romantic evenings with your special someone, the Main Dining Room checks all the boxes for a memorable dinner — great ambiance, five-star service and, of course, delicious flavors. And everything’s included in your cruise fare.

10. Settle In For A High-Diving Spectacle At The Aquatheater

All the top entertainment lineups onboard Harmony of the Seas are awe-inspiring, though shows at the AquaTheater are truly out of this world. With two 30-foot diving platforms and spectacular ocean views, the deepest pool at sea serves as the stage for these dazzling showcases. Expect high-flying stunts and tightrope walking in The Fine Line, and flawless synchronized swimming, electrifying dance choreography and stunning costumes in Hideaway Heist — the two AquaTheater productions onboard Harmony of the Seas. Like all the other shows onboard, admission is free for cruise guests. Just make sure you reserve your spot at the Box Office or via the Cruise Planner app.

11.  Hit The Dance Floor At Boleros Or Grab A Pint At Schooner Bar

One of the best ways to wrap up an adventure-filled day onboard Harmony of the Seas is to turn up once the sun goes down. Fortunately, this cruise ship has plenty of options onboard for those looking to keep the fun going strong. If you’re in the mood to show off your dancing skills, let the Latin rhythms move you at Boleros, where it’s all about spicy salsa, sizzling samba and bold bachata stepping. Or grab a pint at Schooner Bar and join in a lively singalong session as the ship’s talented pianist deftly plucks away at the keys to bring you all your favorite barroom ballads. Admission to both Boleros and Schooner Bar is included in your cruise fare.

11.  Grab A Late-Night Slice At Sorrento’s Pizza

A fleetwide favorite, Sorrento’s Pizza is one of the best free places to eat when you sail with Royal Caribbean — and it’s part of the unrivaled food scene onboard Harmony of the Seas. Open late, it’s a great spot to replenish your energy after a whirl on the dance floor at Boleros or the ship’s nightclub. You’ll find all your favorite classic slices here, including cheese, pepperoni and Margherita, plus signature creations unique to Sorrento’s. We’re talking about a meat-loaded favorite called the Carnivore, a BBQ- and bacon-infused pie called the Caribbean Dream and more. You’ll also have your pick of tasty desserts to finish off your meal with — all complimentary for cruise guests.

If your head’s spinning from all the incredible free things to do onboard Harmony of the Seas, keep in mind that there are plenty more unforgettable opportunities to make memories at no additional cost.
